Their reflections on the shimmering waves
7 ? M: J7 ^0 t$ M KAlways linger in the depth of my heart. 0 Y! F, r" N6 |9 M( i
The floating heart growing in the sludge
# V! M( K) I8 ASways leisurely under the water; - n; t6 ^& J b' H5 d
In the gentle waves of Cambridge
S. d% { G- [5 T' ?! JI would be a water plant!
2 ?! ~0 Y1 @! j7 y8 }+ ]" v& F+ EThat pool under the shade of elm trees + w+ E# t' [; c+ x0 ?! ?$ S
Holds not water but the rainbow from the sky;
: B8 R- P2 O# d# g( z3 u% Y @Shattered to pieces among the duckweeds , X# q+ q; W( |/ @- U
Is the sediment of a rainbow-like dream? , \/ j. D2 v* n$ p2 g
To seek a dream? Just to pole a boat upstream
8 _! c. s4 o/ ?, _4 N B. ]8 r" O6 [To where the green grass is more verdant; 3 G% Y6 W; j% ^: K3 t5 u; N$ m& t- ]
Or to have the boat fully loaded with starlight : @) ^" y5 [+ h# q! E7 P
And sing aloud in the splendour of starlight. & U; ]$ F1 y- J
But I cannot sing aloud 6 B! l# A# G7 e! y2 v- V3 r$ T- j

Even summer insects heep silence for me

满载一船星辉,

夏虫也为我沉默,
